AMaGA International Residencies 2025

AMaGA is excited to offer three international residencies for Australian public museum and gallery workers in September 2025. Developed and facilitated in partnership with Monash University and the Institute for Digital Culture (UK), the program is informed by AMaGA’s strategic pillars of Museum and Gallery Work, Sustainability, and Digital Transformation, and is designed to:

    • Expose participants to other institutional or organisational settings to inspire different ways of seeing digital culture research in practice.
    • Provide participants with opportunities to grow their international network and support systems with other arts workers working in museum and gallery digital literacy.

    • Develop the digital capabilities of the broader sector through enabling participants to reflect upon their own practice and share new insights with their colleagues and peers.

Selected through a national expression of interest, the three participants – one early career, one mid-career and one established/senior – will undertake three weeks of research and exchange across two host partners.
