Get together to discuss articles (and sometimes videos and podcasts) relevant to the GLAM sector – just like a book club but with less reading!

This month we’ll be talking about museum projects that are helping homeless people. Learn about how museums are challenging stigmas and raising awareness about this complex issue. The Museum of Homelessness – ‘founded on the basis of social need rather than to preserve an inherited collection of objects’ – is a good place to start the discussion. Check out the short readings linked below. For our discussion, prepare a few dot points about the readings that surprised you, or perhaps made you more aware of your own preconceptions about homelessness. How can your own work be influenced by these noteworthy projects?
