Northern Territory

The NT Branch of AMaGA is committed to supporting territory member institutions including museums, galleries, historical societies and keeping places, and the people who work for them. We strive to help build the capacity of our organisations and individual members through networking and professional development opportunities, and we seek to improve links and communication across the arts and cultural sectorin the territory.

The Committee is a group of dedicated museum and gallery professionals who volunteer their time to support AMaGA territory members. The Committee has a two-year term and meets (in Darwin and by teleconference in Alice Springs and North-East Arnhem Land) quarterly throughout the year. The AMaGA NT General Meeting is held in November.

Events

We have an active events calendar including regular networking breakfasts during the dry season, industry talks, excursions and workshops.

To decide what kind of activities would benefit our members, we’d love your feedback on how we can support the work you do in the sector.  What kind of professional development activities would be of most benefit to your work? We also like to hold social activities that help us get to know each other better, share ideas, and just enjoy the company of others who are also passionate about museums.  Let us know if you have any ideas, share your thoughts here: [email protected]
