Regional Chapters in Western Australia play an important role in the museum ecosystem supporting the distributed state collection. Chapter meeting locations, timings and content are determined by regional needs and priorities. AMaGA Western Australia supports our Chapters through regular electronic newsletters, networking and training opportunities. Bursary programs encourage attendance at both State and National Museum Conferences.
While a membership link with AMaGA Western Australia is encouraged, Chapters facilitate participation of any relevant collecting institution within the ICOM definition of “museum”. Given our geographic spread, a flexible approach is also adopted for attendance, when it is closer to travel to a neighbouring chapter meeting.
