The Senior Marketing Manager is part of QMN Museums and Engagement portfolio, that delivers authentic experiences that strike a balance between expert knowledge and compelling outcomes to connect with audiences in ways that inspire discovery, awe and wonder.
The successful applicant will plan, develop and implement marketing and communication campaigns, as well as community engagement activities.
This will include media relations, social media activity and community engagement with a particular focus on the Future Makers STEM program for teachers and World Science Festival Queensland regional program. You can work autonomously, be self-motivated and able to think laterally while maintaining QMN protocols and procedures. Travel intrastate as necessary.
The Senior Marketing Manager Future Makers will:
Plan, develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to promote Queensland Museum programs, including the Future Makers partnership and associated learning activities, community engagement activities and World Science Festival Queensland regional events in Gladstone andChinchilla.
Develop detailed plans for delivery and resources across traditional and digital channels, with a focus on media and social media to generate interest and momentum.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the Queensland Museum and community stakeholders to develop, implement, report and evaluate communication plans and associated community engagement activities.
Develop key messages, copy, marketing collateral, media releases and pitches and promotional materials.
Assist with the development and implementation of audience research to drive future marketing strategies and assist with reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain key marketing and media relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners (including monthly reporting).
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers including internal designers, external printers, media buyer, distribution companies and media partners (eg outdoor, print, media, TV, radio, video and photography).
Provide marketing assistance to make connections between Queensland Museum Network and exhibitions, events and the World Science Festival Brisbane and other major programs across the organisation as required, including intrastate travel.
Participate in after-hours activities for social media, events, incident and emergency communication as required.
Comply with QMN policies, procedures and appropriate legislation including a demonstrated commitment to creating a child safe and youth friendly learning environment.
Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
