The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG), owned and operated by the City of Launceston, is one of Australia’s oldest cultural institutions and the largest cultural network within regional Australia. Established in 1891, the QVMAG includes the Museum at Inveresk and The Art Gallery at Royal Park and is custodian to over one and a half million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia, spanning Natural Sciences, Visual Arts and Design, and History.
We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
Position Title: Executive Assistant - Creative Arts & Cultural Services
Position Number: POS1614
As part of the team based at QVMAG, this permanent, full time position provides executive level support and coordination to the General Manager Creative Arts and Cultural Services, the management team and others, as well as a variety of other tasks, including the monitoring and reporting on projects, fundraising activities, event coordination and stakeholder management.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Formal administration qualifications, with demonstrated experience supporting a General Manager or Executive Manager
Demonstrated professional and effective communication and liaison skills, with both internal staff and external stakeholders at all levels
High-level written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels, both internally and externally
Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to effectively multi-task and manage a flexible workload
