City of Newcastle (CN) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovation Program Lead to join our Museum Archive Libraries & Learning (MALL) service unit in this newly created position on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Program Lead is an integral position within MALL, leading a team of specialists to deliver and develop engaging programming focussed on learning, entertainment and identity, and to engage with our diverse and broad communities across a range of sites and specialisations. With 6 direct reports, you'll work as part of the MALL leadership team to support an engaged, smart and innovative workforce by ensuring staff are developing and aware of their responsibilities to achieve project objectives in a timely manner and within agreed budget and delegation.

Key focus areas of the role include creating an annual balanced and strategic program for our varied audiences across our all-service points, planning for engaging new audiences, data analytics and reporting, budget and grant management for key programs. Key challenges include continual improvement and innovation, creating a new and unified team of high performing specialists aligning programs to need, strategy and identity of diverse sites.
