The Shrine of Remembrance is Victoria's principal war memorial for the commemoration of the service and sacrifice of Victorians and all Australians at war and in peacekeeping. The Shrine has undergone a major redevelopment which has seen the creation of significant new exhibition spaces and education facilities plus various other improvements.
The Research Officer will be joining our Exhibitions and Collections team at an exciting time in the history of the Shrine. The Research Officer will play a key role in the research of a variety of exhibitions planned for the future and a pivotal role in collection documentation and research. As such the successful candidate for this position will have research experience, demonstrated organisational skills, a willingness to learn and well developed interpersonal skills enabling them to effectively communicate with various stakeholders including, veterans and their families, other cultural institutions, and other Shrine staff. This position will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to contribute to exhibition and collection development at one of Victoria's premier cultural institutions.
