About the Roles

We require two  Project Support Officers on a Temporary full time basis till 30 June 2024 to assit our  ICT Collection Systems team.  

The roles are critical in supporting the implementation of system enhancements to support the Australian Museum's (AM) Collection Enhancements Project and Collections Online project, as well contributing to continuous improvement projects in other areas.

Use your prior experience in a project support role, and demonstrated experience in digital collection management systems to enhance the Australian Museum's (AM) digital collection management system, EMu, and its integrations with internal and external digital asset management, preservation and discovery systems, including Fotoware and the Atlas of Living Australia.

You will be paid a competitive annual salary $75,992 - $83,211, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 10.5%) and annual leave loading. 

 

About You

We are seeking   proactive professionals with proven experience in delivering user centred support in a Museum or natural history context.   

 To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate; 

·         Advanced skills, experience and expertise in database manipulation and management, preferably in a museum or natural history context.

·         Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in application of data quality standards and schemas in collections data by undertaking data cleansing tasks.

·         User support  in preparing data according to established data standards.
