The NGV is seeking a Conservation Project Assistant to support the Associate Director, Conservation on Collection Activities and NGVC projects. 

ABOUT THE POSITION:  
You will provide administrative support to the Associate Director, Conservation on NGVC project meetings, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting papers and minute taking. Other key responsibilities will include:   

  • Managing diaries, incoming and outgoing correspondence, preparing and collating documents.  
  • Effectively monitoring the Associate Director, Conservation’s tasks to ensure timely provision of support and/or information.   
  • Assisting with planning and facilitating events for supporters of conservation, external partnerships and other key stakeholders. 
  • Assisting with the coordination of conservation content for social media, E-newsletters, NGV magazine submissions, the NGV Conservation Channel website. 

To be successful you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and good knowledge and skills in office administration including the ability to manage appointments and schedules, handle and prioritise telephone calls and complex correspondence, and organise files and information.   You use time efficiently, developing realistic action plans and takes an organised, methodical approach to work.  You will also be able to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels and build trust through consistent actions, values, and communication.
