The Gallery Associate – Sales & Engagement will act as an ambassador for STATION and play a critical role in promoting our artists and the gallery, ensuring sustained audience engagement and sales practices. The successful candidate will work closely with the Gallery Directors, and teams across both Melbourne and Sydney, to plan and implement the strategic development of the gallery and its audiences.  

They will successfully create and develop relationships with clients, assist with the sales process, seek opportunities to educate our audience and communicate the artist’s ideas and intentions, and identify and target dynamic partnerships to promote our artists and the gallery.

A collaborative approach, an eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and an enthusiasm to realise the full potential of all gallery and artist projects undertaken, are all essential. 

A relevant tertiary qualification (Fine Arts/Arts Management an advantage but not essential) and a minimum four (4) years relevant professional experience are a must. Advanced knowledge of and experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AdobeCreative Suite are required, and experience with Photoshop and InDesign is an advantage.


Established in 2011 in Melbourne, with a second space opened in Sydney in 2019, STATION is dedicated to presenting a diverse, conceptually driven exhibition program, with the aim of fostering rigorous, critically engaged contemporary art practices. 

STATION represents a broad stable of established and emerging Australian and international artists. We are committed to bringing Australian contemporary art practices to international audiences and presenting opportunities for our artists to be positioned within a broader global dialogue. 

In addition to an expansive exhibition program across both Melbourne and Sydney, STATION facilitates off-site exhibitions, publishes artist books and monographs, and participates in local and international art fairs.


This is a full-time role, Tuesday – Friday 10.00am–6.00pm and Saturday 10.00am–4.00pm.
