Canberra Museum and Gallery is seeking a talented individual to work with the Access and Learning team in the role of Access and Learning Officer. The Access and Learning team are responsible for delivering programs and services to a range of audiences at Canberra Museum and Gallery.
The Access and Learning Officer works within this small team to develop and deliver both education and public programs. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of learning experiences to school groups and public programs to diverse audiences within a museum and/or gallery context. A demonstrated ability to create innovative programs, work with internal and external stakeholders, manage competing tasks and work to deadlines is essential.

- Tertiary qualifications in teaching and/or a degree or diploma specialising in visual arts are essential.
- A current driver’s licence is essential.
- First Aid Certificate and Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is essential (or willingness to obtain these).
- Workdays may be varied if weekend work is required (e.g., Wednesday to Saturday). Flex time will apply for weekends and public holidays.
Note: This is a part-time temporary position available for up to 12 months at 28 hours per week, and the full-time salary noted above will be paid pro-rata.
