About the role

The Heritage & Collections Manager is an exciting, creative SME leadership role working 'hands-on' with NSW's most iconic heritage transport collection items. 

We are looking for an experienced and proven collections and heritage assets management professional who will lead the development and implementation of plans, projects and initiatives for care and promotion of those collection items and heritage assets entrusted to THNSW’s care and to other sector groups in NSW supported by THNSW. 


About you

You will be a leader, champion, SME, enabler and partner – both inside our organisation and externally supporting the NSW heritage transport sector.

You will be highly collaborative and creative, flexible and adaptive, have the ability to work with all manner of people, and a passion for sharing the richness of our heritage.  You will be a 'hands-on' practical person with strong attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving. 


Location:  NSW Rail Museum, Thirlmere – with regular travel to Sydney, and travel within NSW and interstate from time to time.
