The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a PSL4 Visitor Services Team Leader vacancy within the Visitor Engagement Section, Parliamentary Experience Branch (PEB).
Australian Parliament House (APH) welcomes close to 800,000 visitors every year, including over 127,000 school children. The PEB, develops and delivers a broad range of activities and services for visitors, parliamentarians and building occupants. Within PEB, the Visitor Engagement Section works closely with stakeholders across DPS, the Parliamentary Departments and Presiding Officers to ensure the Parliament’s engagement and accessibility for the community.
DPS is looking for a highly motivated team leader with high level customer service skills in managing, training, and supporting a customer-focused team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organisational skills and have the ability to cooperate with other Team Leaders and senior management within the Visitor Engagement team. The successful candidate will liaise with other teams across DPS and at times, other Parliamentary Departments to ensure their duties are completed to a high standard. They will be experienced in operating flexibly within a busy and complex environment, to motivate their team while progressing key priorities.
This non-ongoing position may become ongoing in the next 12 months. Should a position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
