Jobs/Responsibilities

As the Public Engagement and Education Officer you will be responsible for developing and delivering public programs and activities to engage and attract diverse audiences to Orange Regional Museum (ORM).

We are seeking a motivated and innovative person with the experience and skills to develop, promote and deliver imaginative programs that reflect the values of ORM, and that help to deliver its strategic priorities to enable lifelong learning and the participation of diverse audiences in museum exhibitions and activities.

Skills/Experience

  • To be successful in this position you will need:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Museum Studies, Education, History, Communications or equivalent
  • Experience developing and delivering curriculum linked education programs for primary and secondary students
  • Demonstrated creativity in devising public programs and activities to meet the need and interests of visitors
  • Outstanding organisational skills to devise and present engaging public programs, activities and events to appeal to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience in social media promotion and online content delivery.
