The Studio (formerly known as the Bendigo Creative Industries Hub) is an initiative of Creative Victoria, to establish a co-working hub for the creative Industries of Bendigo. ACMI is partnering with Creative Victoria to leverage our experience in delivering creative industries co-working spaces and programs, to serve the needs of the Bendigo community. Working with local stakeholders the Creative Industries Hub project includes set-up, operation and management of the co-working space, recruiting residents, delivering a core program of professional development activities and events at the Hub and providing pathways to the professionalisation of creative business in Bendigo. ACMI will operate the first phase of the Hub with a goal of transitioning to local operation in October 2021. ACMI will leverage its investment in programming at ACMIX and operate a desk exchange program for Hub and ACMIX residents to ensure rich connection and exchange between the two communities and the broader creative industries ecosystem.

We have an exciting role within The Studio for an Administrator to assist and support the Hub Manager in the establishment and running of the Hub. The Administrator will be instrumental in the development of a vibrant community of creative practitioners, and act as the main point of contact for community members and Hub enquiries. The role will provide support for the Hub Manager with a range of administrative tasks and assist the Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Hub.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability to manage and deliver day-to-day administration and operations, the ability to problem solve, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are a must, as are excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and manage time to meet competing demands and strict deadlines. Candidates should be comfortable working across a variety of software platforms, able to work autonomously, professional in the execution of their duties, with a sociable and outgoing personality.
