The Australian Museums and Galleries Association is the national professional body for the museums and galleries sector. Australian Museums and Galleries Association Victoria – or AMaGA Victoria – is the Victorian Branch. The Regional Digitisation Project is supported by Creative Victoria and delivered by AMaGA Victoria with an aim to digitise and provide public access to Victoria’s distributed state collections.
The Digitisation Officer is responsible for delivering digitisation assistance and on-site training to small- to medium-sized community collecting organisations in Victoria as part of the Regional Digitisation Project.
Applications for this position are invited from people with strong time management and communications skills, who have experience in collections management and working with community groups.
The annual salary for 0.5 FTE is $32,092.81 including superannuation paid to the minimum required by applicable legislation, depending on skills and experience. This is equivalent to a full-time package of $63, 545. There are also 4 extra paid annual leave days per annum given to all staff.
