The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join the Commercial and Tourism Operations team in the role of Commercial Manager. This position sits within the Commercial Operations and Tourism business unit. Along with the Program Manager, you will be responsible for setting, shaping and driving the strategy and direction for the Museum’s commercial activities.
You will be expected to develop, oversee and implement forward plans, budgets, contracts and strategy documents for the Museum’s Commercial and Tourism interests along with developing strategies and ideas to sustain the Museum’s financial future. The incumbent supervises a Tourism and Commercial coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for reporting on outcomes across the unit.
The Commercial Manager acts as a second in charge to the Program Manager of Commercial and Tourism for day to day management of the section, working in collaboration with Museum and external stakeholders in relation to the coordination of activities associated with tourism, venue hire, catering and retail operations.
You will work cooperatively with the other members of the business unit and the broader Museum to plan and effectively manage the overall program. The position will involve developing and contributing to relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
