Resignation of NSW Minister for the Arts – time for a rethink and different priorities?
At a time of unprecedented damage to the arts, culture and heritage sectors by the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the resignation of Don Harwin MLC, and the addition of the Arts Minister responsibilities to the Premier’s portfolio, now would be the time to reconsider:

AMaGA has long advocated for the development of a coherent and funded museum and gallery strategy for the state – that covers every region, including Parramatta, and the roles of the state institutions.
There is also the desperate need to provide specific industry support to cultural workers, artists, community organisations and local governments, who are under the hammer now.
