2021 Museums Australasia Multimedia and Publication Design Awards
We are delighted to announce the Call for Entries for the 2021 MAPDAs.
We will be accepting any items produced in 2020 which have not been entered previously.
We've introduced a few new categories which will hopefully reflect some of the innovative ways our sector has responded and adapted to mid- and post-Covid circumstances.

ENTRY LEVELS & FEES
MAPDA Entry Levels are based on your organisation's operating budget.
Level A - Annual operating budget up to $8million.
Level B - Annual operating budget over $8million.
Note: MAPDA charges a fee for entry. The fee applies to each entry submitted. Members of Australian Museums and Galleries Association or Museums Aotearoa receive a discount. Fees go towards administering the awards program including the awards online platform, printing certificates, etc, hosting the awards ceremony, and providing lunch for the judges.
Inclusive of GST the fees are:
Level A - Member: $49.50
Level A - Non-member: $71.50
Level B - Member: $71.50
Level B - Non-member: $99

OTHER NEW STUFF
We are trialling a couple of new things on the application form this year.
You can now include a very brief description/outline/explanatory note about the design which will be included with your entry. This may give the judges some additional insight into particular elements or challenges you faced when meeting your design brief. You can only include up to 200 words. This is optional, but encouraged.
Peoples' Choice Award
Another new section on the entry form is the inclusion of a Peoples' Choice Award. You can upload one or more photographs of your entry which will be included in a voteable gallery available to the public. We will ask our members to vote on their favourites during the National Conference.
This is a bit of fun right now as we experiment with the platform. It is optional and whether you participate or not will have no impact on the actual judging of your entries.
