The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.
AMaGA believes that museums and galleries have a key role in the community, and a responsibility to enhance, amplify and direct their work to meet the challenges outlined in the SDGs.
We are asking for your feedback on draft priorites outlined by GLAM Peak. We also welcome any comments about which SDGs you believe should be included in AMaGA-led museum- and gallery-specific policy, and/or how museums and galleries can utilise the SDGs in the development of their own activities, policies and strategic directions.

The SDGs are not just for governments: they are an invitation to all sectors of society, in all places, to collaborate and participate in the achievement of the 2030 Agenda. This guide sets out the amazing vision of the SDGs, explains the SDG agenda (also called Agenda 2030), and sets out how the SDGs need museums and museums need the SDGs. - The Sustainable Development Goals: Helping Transform our World Through Museums from ICOM
