The Exhibitions National Network (ENN) (formerly Temporary and Travelling Exhibitions) was founded in 2000.  It was initiated in order to meet the needs and interests of those working in the development and delivery of exhibitions with a focus on temporary and travelling exhibitions. The network was renamed in 2015 and its remit widened to cover all aspects of exhibition work across the museums and galleries sector. 


The Exhibitions National Network aims to support members through the development of a strong representational voice within Museums Galleries Australia, providing networking opportunities and facilitating workshops and panel discussions at national conferences.


ENN offers a range of networking and professional development opportunities, including: 

  • sponsored sessions as part of the annual Museums Galleries Australia National Conference including panels and workshops on special areas of interest
  • invited keynote and conference addresses by international guest speakers on exhibition related topics; 
  • an exhibition marketplace at which venues can promote their upcoming travelling exhibitions at the annual Museums Galleries Australia National Conference (where possible);
  • a conference bursary program;
  • annual general meeting

Join the Network

You can join the network online via the member portal on the MA website or when renewing your membership. The national network committee is made up of a committee chair and 6 members from NSW, Queensland, ACT and Victoria. We are seeking a few additional enthusiastic committee members from other areas and/or the regional sector.
