The Treloar Technology Centre is the purpose-built, off-site storage and conservation facility for the Australian War Memorial’s National Collection. Housing hundreds of thousands of objects ranging in size from lapel pins to heavy bomber aircraft with four-engines, Memorial staff encounter unique logistical and museological situations every day.

Step behind the scenes and hear from the Memorial’s Registrar about how Memorial staff work to preserve and store the significant National Collection.

This tour will be limited to 10 participants and is only available to AMaGA members, so make sure you sign up early for this unique and insightful experience.

Accessibility note: The warehouses are wheelchair accessible. As these are operational warehouses, there are no designated rest areas and participants will be standing for the duration. Make sure to wear comfortable, enclosed shoes. Some warehouses are quite cool whilst others are heated, as such it is suggested participants wear multiple layers.
