Get together to discuss articles (and sometimes videos and podcasts) relevant to the GLAM sector – just like a book club but with less reading!

This month we’ll be talking about the future of Australian museums.

Read the post Australian museums in 2040 on the Centre for the Future of Museums (CFM) blog.

This is a guest post written by Jilda Andrews, a member of the Yuwaalaraay nation and Producer, Gallery Development at the National Museum of Australia, and Alex Marsden, National Director of the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA).

This Australian-focused post is a response to CFM’s US-centric ‘futures’ issue of Museum magazine.

Come ready to share with the group your thoughts about the blog post:

  • what is your vision for Australian museums and galleries in 2040 and beyond?
  • what challenges will the Australian GLAM sector face in the coming years?
  • what could we learn from the world-wide GLAM sector, and other professional fields, that would help Australian museums and galleries remain relevant to local, national and global communities?

Bar snacks included, but you buy your own drinks.
