AMaGA National Conference
Each year AMaGA holds a National Conference at a different Capital City or regional location across Australia. The National Conference is the highlight of our professional development calendar and an important networking opportunity for museum and gallery workers.

In your State or Territory
AMaGA Branches, Divisions and Networks hold a variety of smaller conference in their regions addressing specific needs, topics and opportunties.
See links below, visit the Events page or see the individual Branch page for details.
AMaGA 2024
Many of you are aware that in a break from tradition, we did not announce the site of AMaGA 2024 at the close of proceedings in Newcastle, NSW (perhaps fitting for a conference with the theme of discomfort!). However, we can assure you that in recent weeks AMaGA personnel have been travelling to undisclosed locations to scout for the ideal site for next year's sector gathering. To this end, we would like to extend an invitation to members to submit expressions of interest for consideration for a role on the AMaGA 2024 programming committee. Please send an email titled EOI AMaGA 2024 to: info@amaga.org.au with a statement (up to 250 words) as to why you would like to be involved in the process of ensuring our conference is a relevant, accessible and collegiate forum for the museum and gallery sector.
AMaGA 2023: Discomfort. Brave conversations and new connections in a changing environment.
The AMaGA 2023 National Conference was held from 16 - 19 May 2023, Awabakal & Worimi Land / Newcastle, NSW.
